Subject: [MW:16865] How filler wire & electrode selected for GTAW & SMAW

Dear Welding experts,

I like to know how we are selecting the filler wire and electrode for
Steel & Steel alloys.
Based on the tensile strength of the base material it is selected. I
need the specific technical parameters how we are selecting the filler
wire or electrode. Please guide me for the process,

GTAW                  SMAW
1. A240 TYPE 304 TO A240 TYPE 304L
2. A240 TYPE 304 TO A240 TYPE 316L
3. A240 TYPE 316L TO A240 TYPE 316L
4. A240 TYPE 321  TO A240 TYPE 304

Best regards,

V. Chandrasekaran
