If the operating temperature is high , I would seriously consider ERNiCr-3 (Alloy 82) rather than trying to solve the problem by moving from ER310 → ER309LMo. Nickel-alloy fillers are frequently used for difficult dissimilar-metal joints because they tolerate the chemistry gradient/dilution between different alloys and can provide a more forgiving weld-metal structure.
