[MW:27513] RE: 27512] popping and cracking

What's the substrate/ base metal on which the stellite is applied. Stellite deposition would require careful welding supervision. Cracking  could be common due to very high hardness involved. Please refer the attached literature for guidance/information.

One of welder says the stellite 190 rods (Co- Cr-W) are popping and cracking. what does that mean. Any one experienced such issues.
