the joint efficiency does not change. It is the same as in the case of RT.
As per UW-51(a)(4) RT can be replaced by UT under the condition that the thickness is equal or larger than 6mm

Our prospective vendor is offering TOFD for category A & B weld joints instead of RT for a process column due to RT room size limitations. Is it acceptable by ASME SEC VII DIV-1? What will be the joint efficiency in this case to be used in calculations?
