[MW:24525] Cut-out of 30"OD API-5L-X60 PSL-II CWC pipe

Dear Experts,

In a cross-country pipeline project I found crack in the RT film. The length of the crack is about 100mm. My colleagues (QC) told me to CUT-OUT the joint. Is it mandatory to cut-out a weld after finding crack regardless the length of the crack as per API 1104? I do not find the term cut-out in any type of codes and standards. Is re-weld means cut-out? In my project applicable standard is API 1104.

Regards,

MD SAIDUR RAHMAN
