Re: [MW:24560] Is Sensitive leakt test / Pneumatic Test can be considered as Substitute.

the objectives of RT and Hydro/pneumatic test is different. your quiery is not cleared whether it is related to pipeline, piping ,tank etc.

if ,there is a specific requirement / hindrance  or acquaintance on weld joint quality or integrity , RT is practically advisable  ,with out considering any code requirement.

Hi,

If RT s not possible, please go for alternate NDE methods such as UT upon your client's approval. We cannot say a joint is sound if it has survived the pressure/leak test.

Dear Members ,

Please clarify that whether in any circumstances we could substitute RT with pressure / any leak test for services where RT is been included as a inspection method.
