It is an illusion. You are going to get very low impact energies

Hi Mr. Lalu
We are using these tubes as WHRU tubes which will face 650 C GT exhaust hence we had considered P11 tubes. Now since customer asking for impact testing @ min. Ambient Temperature as mandatory.

Sent from my iPhone--Hi,Why do you intend to use a high temperature service alloy in a low temperature service ? Are you sure that the service temperature is -48 degree C for a boiler pressure part component !!!regards,LALU--On Sat, Mar 12, 2016 at 9:54 AM, Praphulla Phirke <praphulla.dp@gmail.com> wrote:Dear All
Need your expert opinion on below query.
We are working on new project with Pressure Parts proposed to customer in ASME A335 P11 materials.
Since the ambient temperature is -48C, we need to perform the Impact Test for the same.
We think that the pipe material can be impact tested. Since this test is not a standard requirement for SA335 P11 pipes no guarantee is provided on the resulting minimum impact energy.
Any suggestions ????
Warm Regards
Praphulla
