You have to search a machine shop where u can get EDM notches done. These notches are done on CNC machines which are specifically designed for EDM. We have made EDM notches of width 0.5 mm with length of 20 mm to demo ToFD on 100 mm thk plate nd also on 100 mm nozzle joint block ( category D). Hope this will sort out ur problems

Dear All--
We want to demonstrate a phased array procedure with welded samples that have defects.
Does anybody know procedure/informations about making a weld with defects for qualification of NDT procedure?
