1) You do not state welding process which would be important if GMAW in
the short circuiting transfer mode was used. If GMAW-S was used then
QW-403.10 would apply and the maximum thickness would be 1.1 X 7.11mm or
7.82mm. Otherwise, the thickness will be per QW-403.8 and QW-451.1,
i.e., 1.5mm to 2T.
2) G-Number applies only when impact testing is required, i.e.
supplementary essential variable QW-403.5 is applied. Otherwise, only
essential variable QW-403.11, P-number, applies. Therefore, without
impacts, your WPS would apply to all P-Number 1 materials.

We have a PQR if 7.11mm thickness material P-1 Gr-1, No impact
requirement(Client) as per sec-ix, 2010. we have done PWHT on the joint
as per service requirement.
1)Can we qulifiy the thickness range for base metal from 1.5mm to
14.22mm.
2) Can we qualify the base material P1-Gr1 to P1Gr2.
I need a very urgent reply with the QW references.
