Mr. Pal,
A WPS is written document and upgraded with actual parameters used after
successful completion of PQR tests for the same material and process etc.
i.e., It is mainly focuses the compatibility of a process, filler metal to base metal combination, parameter selection, procedure and other essential, non essential and supplementary (where required) variables used to make a successful weld.
Once WPS written and is accepted, WPQ is done to check the skill of the welder operator/tack welder and based up on the that particular successful WPS.
Hence the variables are less comparatively and an inspector should follow only the variables mentioned under QW 350.

Subject: [MW:15085] requirement of variable for inspection in WQT
Dear Exparts,
I have a doubt on WQT!
Is it required to check all parameters stated in WPS during WQT? Ref:
Sec IX, 2010.
As we know " A WPS is a written qualified welding procedure prepared
to provide direction for making production welds to Code requirements.
The WPS or other documents may be used to provide direction to the
welder or welding operator to assure compliance with the Code
requirements.
Suppose we consider Welder Performance Qualification:
As per QW 350, the essential variables are very few and limited for
each process.
So, what parameters should an Inspector Check during Welder
Performance Qualification as per Sec IX, 2010.
Please give code reference for your statement.
