Separately, There is no Root Gap qualification in code as its non-essential variable as per ASME IX.

Hence , cheers  go ahead and maintain the gap as appropriate.

     Now my question is about root gap qualification,

     If i qualify WPS with above parameters having root gap 1.6.The range qualification of thickness is 4 to 16 mm. likewise is there any range for Root gap qualification?

    YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
