Dear experts,
I have a prequalifed WPS for A36 material butt joint up to 32 mm thickness. Preheat mentioned there as 0deg.up to 20mm thickness and 20 to 32mm thickness is 20 deg.
But as per AWS D1.1 table 3.2, there is no preheat mentioned for base metal A36.
So what is the reference for 20 deg. Preheat for thickness 20 to 32 mm.
Please give your feedback.
