RE: [MW:4961] Super Duplex Welding

Hi, Rui,
Fortunately, I am working in Boehler Welding China Representitive.
please find enclosed paper sheet of both T-PUT and Boehler products. It may help you I think.

My fellows and I discuss your case, our commends are:
1, the diameter is OK. there is no difference between 1.0 and 1.2mm in welding.
2, you have to control interpass temperature. commonly, ≤150℃ is requested, but we prefer to ≤120℃.
3, pre-heating is not necessary.
4, low heat input!

I hope it will help you.

Regards

Roy LIU

Dear All

We have problems for welding Super Duplex Nº 1.4410 (see attach of Base Material Certificate) with8 mm thickness.
The process is GMAW - MAG welding an use wire electrode AWS A5.9-06 : ER2594 (see attach of Wire electrode Certificate) and the shielding gas is Ar+20%He+2%CO2

The bead of first pass is OK, but the next pass (interpass) have lots of porosity, no penetration and Spatter.

Will be control the temperature of interpass?
Will be change the wire electrode?

Thanks for help

Best Regards
