Subject: [MW:4926] 2.2 CERTFICATEDear member,
We purchase a standard product from manufacturer. The product was ‘’ FLANGE 2 INCH SCH 80 CLS 150 A105’’, we received a 3.1 certificate with material, we than ask work shop to machines this flanges to make its ID equal to that of SCH 40 Flanges.
Machining was done in workshop which is ISO 9001-2008 certified. We asked the workshop to issue 2.2 certificates stating that that the product after machining is in conformance with requirement.
However they refused to do so and said that 2.2 certificates can only be issued by a manufacture and since they have not manufactured it they can issue a 2.2 certificate and they will just issue letter.
Is this correct? Can’t they issue 2.2 certificates?
Regards
