Dear Members,
An existing (operation not yet started) API 650 storage tank (20 mtr
dia x 24 mtr ht), requires a modification 2" , sch.160 sized pipings
(13nos) to be penetrated through the bottom shell course of 22mm
thickness.since the pipe size is 2", no re-inforcement is required as
per 650. the material is A 573 Gr.70 (group IV), and according to that
nozzzles with RF pad or thickened insert plate with thickness > 13mm
requires PWHT.. so in this case, this 2'' penetration requires PWHT or
no ??. Pl. share your valuable feedbacks..
Thanks in advance,
Kumar.
