This is not the meaning of UG-10.
You can certify a material, using UG-10, which was not tested & certified & identified by the manufacturer in accordance with the Code, but it is complying with the Code. This is the meaning of UG-10

Reviewing a material test report (MTR) of SA-516-70 certified as per ASME 2010 Ed 2011àddenda and MTR complies with all the requirements. The Job is to be U stamped per ASME 2013 ED. Theres no requirement of materials to be certified to làtest code editions in contractual documents. Since job is to be code stamped per 2013 Ed, should material also be recertified as per ASME 2013 Ed?
