[MW:9549] aluminium mig welding

Dear all,

Can you guide me why there is melting of aluminium wire with the contact tip while doing aluminium MIg welding?

What should be done to prevent this?

Also, for plates with thickness 5 mm and more, is pulsed MIG compulsory?

I have suggested my client to go for simple thyristerised welding machine.
