Re: [MW:9501] impact test specimens

Dear Reddy,

Your spec means, for weld metal, FL and FL+2, impact test shall be carried out for top, centre and root region, each of the test would require 3 specimens.

let me know if you could interpret this correctly or else I would explain with detailed sketch.

Regards
Manpreet Singh

Dear All,

Acording to our spec " Impact test sets shall be taken from 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock and 6 o' clock at
centre of weld
fusion line
+2mm from fusion line in the parent metal

Each test set shall include 3 specimens"

I have a doub't that we have to take the specimens  ex:   for centre of the weld 3specimens need to take at 12 o' clock  or 1 from 12,3and 6o'clock respectivly
