I don't believe there is any requirements, but on  P5-B materials, it is a common practice as cracks have been known to form after 24 hours on these materials. I have heard of some materials on "Hold" pending another RT after the initial test after 7 Days.

I have just completed PWHT on ASME 1 piping and there is no requirement on P1 material for additional RT after cool down.

Subject: [MW:5198] NDT after PWHT

Dear friends
We just finished PWHT in an LPG sphere acording to ASME VIII section I, and I can´t find in the code the part that obligues to Xray after this treatment, any one has experience with this? where does ASME VIII say it has to be done?
Thank you
Luis Albanés
