Re: [MW:5242] ZERO & DELAY IN UT CALIBRATION

1)Acoustic zero and electric zero are not one and same.
2) Time of flight measurements in are translated into equivalent distances in steel in mm or inch
3) theoretically thicknesses of couplant, thickness of wear plate in crystal are involved
If water column is used  that is also to be taken care
4) These thicknesses are appropriately  corrected by pulse delay control or zero correction to understand
5) If one is familiar with eqpt operation this becomes simple during time base or distance calibration which is basic
Do not worry this is  calibration issue and has to be effected during setting-up of eqpt whether digital or analog

how can use of them in calibration?
what is different between these with RANGE& DELAY key in analog UT SET?
