LR Grade A material is a structural rolled steel grade according to
Chapter 3 section 2 of the Lloyd's Register Rules for Manufacture,
Testing and Certification of Materials.
This material has the following chemical composition: C max. 0.21% ;
Mn min. 2.5 x %C ; Si max. 0.50% ; P max. 0.04% ; S max. 0.04%
Mechanical properties are: Yield Strength min. 235 MPa ; Tensile
Strength 400 - 490 MPa ; Elongation min. 22% and has no Chapy-V impact
requirements.
