Re: [MW:5234] NDT after PWHT

Dear Mampreet
My concerns are 2, 1: If I have to do it though my material is ferritic, ASTM A516 grade 70. 2: If I can force the contractor based on the code ??
Thanks a lot
Luis

Dear Luis

Currently I am working on LPG Pipeline project.

We have All P1 material, Even then Cpy spec ask for
NDT after PWHT.

When in doubt always go for stringent reference.
Acc to me it's better to go for NDT after PWHT.

Dear friends
We just finished PWHT in an LPG sphere acording to ASME VIII section I, and I can´t find in the code the part that obligues to Xray after this treatment, any one has experience with this? where does ASME VIII say it has to be done?
Thank you
