[MW:5284] Workshop on Fabrication Issues for Offshore Wind Towers and Foundations

The number of structures needed to meet current plans for offshore
wind development in UK and European waters is massive and brings an
equally large range of opportunities and challenges. Whilst the scale
of engineering and fabrication effort required to meet these
challenges is
considerable it is not without precedent. TWI has a worldclass
pedigree in offshore oil and gas engineering that can be brought to
bear in the wind sector.

This workshop is intended to discuss the issues that should be
considered in the design, fabrication and welding of structures for
offshore wind applications. It will also discuss
some of the approaches that may be adopted to implement an effective
'full-life' corrosion mitigation strategy.

This event is also available online, streamed live. If you prefer not
to travel to the event in Cambridge this may be a good option for you.
You can watch the full event, or just the topics you are most
interested in. There is a Q&A facility to allow you to ask questions
which will be passed on to the speakers in real time.
