Hi,
Luminance required (for RT film viewer) will depend on the film density that needs to be read.
For reading film density of 4H/D, may require Luminance of 103,000 cd/sqm that will roughly equal to 323,000Lux.
You may also refer to standard ASTM E 1390 and ISO 5580 for transmitted light thru different densities are specified.
