Digging a very old topic which hasn't been replied.
Would suggest you to get a software do this for you. There are several software packages doing this including WeldEstimator by TWI, WeldPulse & WeldToolbox. At an individual level, it is difficult to afford software like WeldEstimator or WeldToolBox however, WeldPulse would be easy on your pocket. It has got a subscription offer which really helps individuals in a big way.
