Re: [MW:18447] Bronze to carbon steel welding.

For welding in between bronze and carbon steel, you can use
AWS / SFA - E Cu Sn A electrode  (named as Bronze or any other make)
The electrode  contains 93% Cu, 4.5 to 6% Tin and 0.20% Phosphorus.

Pre heat the bronze part to 250 to 300 deg.C and maintain inter pass temp..
of same value through out the welding operation on heavy sections to avoid
cracks during weld. No pre heat required for thinner sections  or on the ferrous
part of  the base metal.
