We are currently manufacturing tanks for CO2 transport service using Sec VIII Div. 1 ASME and I am being told the tanks do not require PWHT? The tanks are shell 7/8 inch Heads are 7/16 the process is subarc.
Can anyone point me to a section or code that would explain why we would PWHT or where we would not have to PWHT these units?
Thank you for aquick reply
