Dear Mr. Bilal,
For being expert in WPS preparation, one should continuously prepare WPSs for different material specifications, thickness ranges, welding processes and various other conditions viz. PWHT, without PWHT, impact test and other parameters. It is not only to prepare WPSs but one should also use these documents in shop/ field.
There are training courses also available viz. "Preparation of WPS/PQR" being conducted by reputed institutes like Indian Institute of Welding.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Rajnish Dixit

After having a basic knowledge of welding, welding inspection according to approved procedures, how one can be an expert of WPS preparation according to ASME Sec IX ?
What is professional approach for this..What basic steps one has to fallow ..as you have a code and you cannot memorize all of it....its just for reference
Thanks in advance
M Bilal
