Dear Mr. Richards,

From Penetrameter 10 ISO 16, if your radiography is good you may visualize the wires numbers from 10, 11, 12 and 13 is acceptable and further if you find remaining wires 14, 15 and 16 the quality of the radiography is excellent. 

If in the radiography film 14th wire is visible your radiography quality is satisfactory and the penetrameter sensitivity: 0.16/7.4 x 100 = 2.16%.

Calculated Essential Wire number diameter is 0.16 and i got the wire number as 14th from the chart. From these data's how could i get the least visible wire to be seen on the radiograph?

Hi,  You are correct, Minimum refers to the one cycle for which this part will expose until final work shop PWHT. hence mill test certificate shall include this.  Max. SPWHT, refers to additional cycles of heat treatment that are reserved for future repairs during equipment lifetime.  Again, these simulated no.
