[MW:18227] Welder/Welding operator qualification range

Dear Experts,

We are using AWS D 1.1, 2006 and qualifying welders on Plate 3G position with backing.
As per Table 4.10 for groove Plate groove qualified range is F H V. Pipe groove qualified range for CJP is F H V. In the box for Pipe butt groove CJP it is writen note c. My question is, is the note c applicable for all positions mentioned as 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 3G+4G. Or note c is only applicable for 3G+4G?

We have tested the welder for 3G position. Is he qualified for diameter range 24 inch and above?

Please reply soon with clause.
