RE: [MW:18311] PHWT for P91

Gents,

 

Noticed some lively discussion/remarks from experts  on typical heat cycle for welding of Grade 91 base material. As a manufacturerer of consumables of advanced CrMoly grades,we have been suggesting DHT cycle if immediate PWHT facility is not available. Otherwise, kindly refer pg 12 of our Catalogue on Power Plant applications which is attached.

There is no time frame for delayed PWHT as long as we keep it protected from moisture and frequent handling after completion of Hydrogen bake out and cooling down to room temp.
