Sir I have one query on using flanged forged material ASTM A182 Gr F316L (B16.5) for weld neck flange at temp (-)70 deg C., however B16.5 doesn't tabulated any equivalent pressure (Group-2.3 per B16.5)below -29 C. Is this material suitable for temperature -70 degree Centigrade while ASME B16.5 doesn't provide any allowable at this temperature.
Actually In one of my project PMS having temp range of -75 to 150 Deg C, and tabulated ASTM A182 Gr F316L (B16.5) for flanges. My piping has operating temperature of -70 Deg C and Design 85 Deg C.
I need to check flange leakage but unfortunately no allowable values given in B16.5.
I request your expert views on above.
