Re: [MW:14677] Storage Conditions of Welding Consumables.


There is no specific temperature and limit for humidity, for storage, manufacturer's recommendation is to store at dry place and at room temperature, Most of consumable are supplied in sealed packs or plastic bags so they will not absorb moisture until there is damage with packing, once you open these bags for use then further caution and manufactures instruction should be followed about drying and baking or reuse.

1-you can follow ASME SEC II-part C specifications which describes the storing and handling conditions for MMA, SAW flux and wires.meanwhile manufacturers recommendations will be helpful.
 
2-If you could not maintain storing conditions it causes many defects during and after welding.
