the contractor needs to resubmit their drawing and calcs for approval before you accept the proposed procedure. As you may know, the neck of a CL150 and CL300 LWN has a difference of about 1/8".

But I told them that entire LWNF shall be removed from the vessel and shall be welded with 300# LWNF. Contractor says calculation for both 150# and 300# is same , so there is no problem.Please clarify whether this is a correct approach.
