SA320L7/SA194 Gr4 combination also can be used (no matter what raw
material they use, generally it is from SA29, AISI 4140..._), one need
to specify and MDMT and energy requirements while ordering.

Haldor Topsoe spec recommends DIN17290/26CrMo4/1.7219 for -11 to -60
deg.C, may check the equivalents as it is a very old one and the std
might be obsolete now.

Please share other alternate/equivalent standards for LT application

Dear All,

Many a times I face a problem of Selecting Bolting Material Impact
tested as per PED ( i.e. with 54J Energy at Lowest Schedule operating
temperature).

Let me know which material is best when I shall be using it for (-) 25
Deg C

As I understand SA193 Gr B7 which is readilly available cannot give
52J below 10 Deg C. EN19 is preferred material for this before Heat
treatment.

If I am correct,SA320 Gr L7 which is gives 52J below -25 Deg C. But
what shall be raw material for this grade before heat treatment.

Regards

Rajesh Bhavsar
