[MW:888] %RT on nozzle long seam per API650

Ref: API650 2007 edition

 

Para 5.7.8.11 states ‘All longitudinal butt-welds in the nozzle neck etc…………..shall receive 100% radiographic examination (see 8.1)

Where as in para 8.1.1 states ‘Radiographic inspection is not required for the following:…………welds in nozzle and man way necks made from plate’

 

Which one is correct or am I not interpreting correctly?

 

Note: if you are referring old editions it is same (just refer para 3.7.8.11 and 6.1.1 instead of the above)
