回复:Re: [MW:23718] Impact test- minimum thk requirement

George
sub-size impact test specimen could be used when  full sized specimen is not possible due to the thk of the weldment. But usually impact requirement is required only when the thk of production metal exceeds 16mm.
Hope it helps.

Hi Experts,

Please explain what is the minimum thickness requirement of impact test.

Material: A790 S31803 pipe
Size: 1/2' Sch 80 (WT- 3.73mm)
Sour service

Question: Is it possible to do impact test on 3.73 thk?

Best Regards,
DV.George
