[MW:23768] Re: ASME/ASTM equivalent of S355J2+N

S355J2+N under EN 10025-2 need Normalized plus low temperature impacting test under -20 centigrade.

So If using ASTM A572Gr50,you have to ask additional techincals requirements (Normalized heat treatment,-20 Centigrade low temperature impacting test),then this A572Gr50 steel shall be equal to S355J2+N.

Also, ship plates A131 Grade DH36 and A131 Grade EH36 is also equal to S355J2+N and even better than S355J2+N.

Hope this would be useful to you.

Dear All

What is the ASTM/ASME equivalent of structural material S355J2+N (minimum yield strength 355 MPa, Tensile 470 to 630 MPa, C: 0.20 max, Si: 0.55 max, Mn: 1.60 max , CE: 0.45 max). A link to reference document stating the same would be much appreciated.

Thanks & best regards
