You need qualified WPS to do the welder qualification.
Using qualified WQT have variable only you can't find voltage , current to do welding,

Gentle men,--My question is regarding to the welders qualification test, My client is insisting to use a qualified WPS for qualification of WQT, Is a WPS is required for conducting WQT? or can we use a preliminary WQT or just follow the essential varialbles list as per ASME Sec IX?RegardsM.
