[MW:20398] PWHT AS PER ASME SEC-I

Dear sir
          ASME SEC-I ,PW-39

2)when the nominal thickness of a weld as defined in PW-39.4 is greater than % in. (19 mm) but does not exceed 1 % in. (38 mm), and:

(a) the calculated carbon equivalent, CE, of any of the basemetals in the weld joint is less than or equal to 0.45, using the formula :

                               CE = C + (Mn + Si)/6 + (Cr + Mo v)/S + (Ni + CU)/15

Can I use above clause of ASME SEC-I ,PW-39 to following welding to eliminate the PWHT of  membrane panel header

  1. Item : Membrane Panel
  2. Material : SA106 Gr B and SA210 Gr A1
  3. OD and thk : 273 *35 header,panel tube : 50.8*6.35 thk
  4. Joint type : Groove +Fillet
  5. Weld deposition : 12 mm
  6. No of Tube : 35 nos
  7. CE : less than 0.45
  8. preheat : 100 deg C
