[MW:19369] Cracking of Fire Proofing near Tie Rod in Spherical Gas Holder

Dear Friends,

In a recent inspection of Spherical Gas Holder, we observed cracking near the tie rods in the fireproofing layer at the junction of column and tie rod.
There were 16 columns supporting the gas holder and similar cracking was observed at all the locations.

(Please find the pics of cracks attached)

What may be the possible reason for the cracking?

Can anyone suggest where can we find assessment criteria to determine the criticality of the cracking?Which code/standard specifies the acceptance criteria for this?

Thanks & Regards
Eswar Raju.
