RE: [MW:18772] using of second welder while welding SS material

Hello Mohd,
 
Are you referring to Double Operator TIG(DOT) process. In  many instances  this technique is used by fabricators to avoid  back-gouging. I've applied this for Sec-III, Nuclear components. For your case, i.e for Duplex S.S, what were the design requirements vs. the results achieved.
 
More input would be appreciated.

moreover we have welded as you discribe around 3000ton duplex plates with same texhniques called twin tig and it is very well accepltable by industries experts/ experienced client.

main advatages is good distortion control and weld dilution for ferrite.
