[MW:14061] Impact test report of PTC

Low temp vessel PTC for head to shell c-seam; Head : Cap SA420WPL6, Pipe: SA333 Gr 6; Filler metal ER70S2+ E7018-1; GTAW+ SMAW process.
 
PTC used as filler metal is not SFA classified for low temp -48deg C
 
Impact test results: 18, 14, 12 Joules test piece size 10 x 7.5 x 55 @ -48deg C;
 
Average value required for 10x 7,5x55 is 15joule; single specimen 2/3 x 15: 10joule
 
Reference ASME SEC VIII Div-1 2011a UG 84 & UCS 67
 
Dear Expert,
Let me have your advice whether these results are acceptable.

Hi,  You are correct, Minimum refers to the one cycle for which this part will expose until final work shop PWHT. hence mill test certificate shall include this.  Max. SPWHT, refers to additional cycles of heat treatment that are reserved for future repairs during equipment lifetime.  Again, these simulated no. Of cycles shall be specified in MTC.  The idea is we need to make sure that steel mechanical properties are not compromised upon exposure to multiple repairs (i e 4 cycles in your case).  One could say, if steel is subjected to 4 cycles and is ok, then it should by defacto be good for one cycle, yet, this is wrong assumption cause mechanical problems and microstructure of materials varies accordingly based on no. Of cycles for which material will expose.
