For D1.1, you would need to do a PQR, or check AWS B2.1 and qualify the WPS that way.

I have little query about qualifying the WPS as per AWS D1.1-2008 (Chapter 3 Prequalification of WPSs) Actually I need to qualify a WPS on IS 2062 material, but material is not mention in the table 3.1 and as per clause 3.3 only base metals and filler metals listed in Table 3.1 may be used in prequalified WPSs. so kindly guide me how to make prequalified WPS else I Have to qualify the procedure with testing (Chapter 4). Waiting for your quick response.
