Dear Aslam,

In piping aspect we use fitting ends shall be " BE " for welded joints and " PE " for plain ends

BW - is used only for the terms in method of fabrication of piping.

pls see the attached doc for further explanation

I hope that you have to understand the two terms.

which is better for fittings e.g Elbows,Tee reducer  END TYPE=BW(butt
weld) or BE(bevel end).i am working on smart software and dealing with
item coding.some people write BE AND some BW as End Type.which is
better to be used ?are these same or different?thanks in advance .
