Re: [MW:16092] Consumable for SA 387 GR-12.CL2 materials

Dear Sir,
It seems the weld defect is due to i) Welder skill  if it is ok ii) Flux coating of the Electrodes Why not change the brand and try As such these typeE8018B2L  of elctrodes   are being used by many fabricators w/o problems
Please check Current, Voltage and bead placement and also Joint configuration

Regards

Dear sir,

The base material is SA 387 GR12.CL2 it's conformed, we tried with E8018-B2 (ESAB), but the Radiographic reports shown on everywhere is Incomplete fusion, We follow proper Preheat, Interpass & we used the good welder for the joint.

Then only client informed us to use E7018-B2L electrode.

Please give me feed back the above issue.

Thanks to you.

Regards,
M.Sudalai.
