WPS qualified on groove welds can be used for weld build up as permitted by QW-202.3 of ASME SEC IX.
Existing WPS for groove welds can be revised to include weld metal build up.
Pls. check for insert plate option instead of weld build up in consultation with Design Engineer & Client.
