Dear All,
I have a typical situation where an alloy steel plate needs to be welded to a coil which has been welded to the header, with the coils carrying no drain system. Ideally the plate has to be welded prior to Hydro test. However, since it being a site job and for putting the system up, in urgency The header and coils were hydrotested before welding the plate.
Please tell whether the plates can be welded to the coils with water in them or not. If it could, it will not only save time and a hell lot of bother of cutting the coils, draining water and welding them back.
Well, on alighter note, it does remind me of " A stitch in tiem, sacves nine"
Regards
