Mani,

Please let us know the materials involved (Shell & dished end), joint configuration, thickness and the welding consumables used to weld the joint.

Also please let us know the crack orientation, was it longitudinal or transverse to the weld axis.

Whether preheat was maintained after completion of SMAW pass?
