The API 5L pipeline is commonly used for crude oil application.
ASTM-A-106B is very close to that .
X indicates minimum yield strength .
API 5L X65 pipe is a high level grade pipe in API 5L with minimum yield strength required in 65000 Ksi or 450 Mpa.
You can replace but take a view of your designer .
